Every week, the MindSay staff is going to recommend a few MindSay blogs that you probably have never read.  We read a lot of them, trust me...but there are quite a few that stand out.   We'll increase our reviews as we go along, but I'm going to start with a really great one that Jayme (herewegoagain) recommended.

drewby recommends: leftlast

This is the only second person written blog I've ever read (And I have read thousands upon thousands of blogs in the past 3 years).   All posts are numbered, no slick subject lines here, and it works.   Everything from relationships to normal mundane tasks are explained in great detail.  No tags either, but how could you tag some of the things written here?  It's one of those blogs where commenting is a task, thus not really necessary.  Definitely worth the read and I'm looking forward to future posts.

The location in his profile says it all...."Doha fuckin' Qatar".    Obviously, serving our country in the military is not only heroic, but it is the ultimate sacrifice.  This blog doesn't talk about war though in a documentary sense, it's about real life during a time of war.

A recent post "reports":

"Well, I went to the local military sales guy on base last Wednesday and ordered me one.  I ordered a 2006 screamin yellow Mustang GT with all the trim." 

Over the past year, I've been lucky enough to have made friends with many men and women in the military through Gmail4Troops and blogs4troops .   The thing that is often lost on this country is that these folks are NORMAL folks.   They are people that live right next door to you, go to school with your kids, hang out at the club you frequent.  The difference is that they put their country first and their safety second.  I applaud him, and I would recommend that you visit his blog and do the same.

 acha65 is new to the blogging world. She herself even said she "bagged people for making blogs".  She realized its a way to keep in contact with her mates that she doesnt see much of, which is of course a big part of what Mindsay is, a way to keep in contact with family and friends. She has an offbeat sense of humor and her first few posts seem very promising.

yesplease recommends: swimperson

swimperson is a second generation blogger on Mindsay. His mother is the world famous blogger hester of course. It's great to see family members connect here. MindSay is a great way to keep in contact with all of your family members without having to write annoying emails. You can attach pictures and sounds to your posts and share it to everyone at once, allowing everyone to give and share feedback immediately. Swimperson's first post is a great one, and the frog batman kicks ass!!! Enjoy.

yesplease recommends: evanandchan

evanandchan is honestly one of the funniest bloggers I've ever read.  Some of his pictures and stories about trips taken will have you on the floor laughing.   In fact, mah Jayme was reading his posts last night and I thought she was going to hurl.   But a good hurl of course (as if there is such a thing).  So J and I highly recommend this blog. 

yesplease recommends: quotablequotes

quotablequotes is a cute blog that Jayme and I found while surfing MindSay.   I think they have a really great idea.   They pick out great quotes from blogs that they read and then in turn blog them.   They give credit to the original writer, which is kick ass.  We love to see blogs like this and topbloggers

readyfireaim  has a very interesting blog. You never know what youll find when you click on her link. She likes to post a picture every day that makes her think or makes her laugh, and theres no telling what the picture will be of. Shes hilarious, and her tales from the bus will have you wishing youd seen this stuff for yourself...almost. ;) Shes quirky and fun and never disappoints.

smartguy has one of the funniest blogs I've ever read.   I'm not really going to go into too much, but what I will say is read these 2 posts, and then let me know if I'm right about this guy.    I nearly fell off my chair a few times.

operationsanta is a blog to support the "Operation Letters to Santa" project. I fully endorse this project, and the blog has a great mix of stories and ideas on how we can help their cause and help kids who don't have a chance at having a great Christmas like most of us do. kered is a co-worker of mine, it's true.   However, it doesn't change the fact that I think his blog is probably the funniest and best blog you've never read on MindSay.   His "Busted Files" series will having you laughing for hours.  Derek has a knack of finding funny and popular links and news stories, and his blog is always current with the latest events.   He's a must to have in your inbox, go check it out.

alwaysseeking has the "classic" style blog, that makes blogging what it is.   She'll hit you with powerful thoughtful writing, let you know what she's listening to, and then throw in some humor.  

A recent post explains:

When someone asks me why people blog, and what people blog about, this is where I'll point them.   It's whatever you want it to be, whatever you choose to make it.  It's yours.
